As per vastu Shastra it is very good to have the Kitchen in the South East Corner. And it is also believed that if there is any defects or Doshas in this south east corner as per Vastu the health of the women related to that place will be affected.
The South East corner is called "AGNI MOOLA" - Agni means , "FIRE"
The south-east direction is represented by Shukra (Venus), the lord of fire. Vastu mentions the southeast as the first choice for the kitchen, which represents the Agni philosophy.
The Kitchen should not face the main door of the House.
The Bathroom door and the kitchen door should not be
opposite to each other.
