According to Vastu Shastra - Things to Consider When Buying 

an Apartment /(FLATS)  -Part-2

SHAPES : Square and rectangular FLATS suitable for living. Power waves are high in a square shaped Flat than in rectangular shape Flat. Both of these shapes are highly beneficial and comfortable.

Triangular shaped house should be avoided altogether. This triangular shape is associated with fire. So it is not good to welcome the evil of fire.

Some more things to be avoided :

1) The apartment should not be located at the DEAD END.

2) “T” point buildings should be avoided

3) Each room should have four walls or corners

Reception /  Drawing Room :  In the Northwest

Furnishings  should be set in south and west directions.

Make sure the maximum open space is facing south and east.

 KITCHEN  -  In the SOUTH EAST

1) The cook (who is cooking)should  always faces the East

 Direction when cooking.

2) Water tap to be fixed in the North-eastern direction of the

 Kitchen.

Kitchen  Wastes 

Garbage / trash cans  always be Covered and  placed in the southwest corner of the kitchen.

STORE ROOM : In the  South Direction

 (Southern part of the building)

 Grains / Cereal and other items  can be placed in the kitchen or

any other room.  Do not place any items under the box type cot and

It causes insomnia.

 Master Bedroom : In the South West Corner  

The ceiling should be equal

CHILDREN'S ROOM: In the Northwest corner

STUDY ROOM

Northeast, Northwest, and North, West, East corners

Arrange the study room and prayer room close to each other. It is considered very sacred.

The reading desk should be against (Touching) the East or North wall.

OR

The Study table should be kept in Eastern or Northern Wall

BATHROOM AND TOILET : In the West or South 

Bath waste should always exit through the northeast direction.

 DOORS : In the North and East  

  GUEST ROOM : In the Northwest direction 

The room in the northwest is very beneficial for unmarried women

  

 BALCONIES  : In the  North, East Or North- East directions

 

The balconies facing east are very lucky according to Vastu.

  

POOJA ROOM : In the  North East  

  WINDOWS : In the  Eastern and Northern sides of your Flat
